The holiday season is all about cozy moments, festive flavors, and a little bit of indulgence. If you’re looking for the perfect cocktail to sip on during holiday parties or quiet nights by the fire, look no further than the Peppermint Rum Chata Martini. This drink is a delightful blend of creamy Peppermint Bark Rum Chata, and smooth vanilla vodka, making it both luxurious and refreshing.

Whether you’re hosting a holiday gathering or want to treat yourself to something special, the Peppermint Rum Chata Martini will impress.

For those unfamiliar with Rum Chata, this creamy liqueur is a decadent blend of Caribbean rum, natural dairy cream, cinnamon, and vanilla. It’s often described as tasting like a liquid cinnamon roll or horchata, making it an excellent base for creamy cocktails. Adding peppermint to this already indulgent mix makes the perfect holiday twist.

Martini or cocktail, a good shake makes all the difference in the world so buying a cocktail shaker can seriously step up your at-home drink game. Think about it: no more settling for boring mixed drinks when you can whip up bar-quality cocktails in your kitchen. It’s not just about the fancy presentation (although that’s a fun bonus) but also about how it makes mixing drinks easier and more fun.

I have at least a dozen shakers, but one favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak; you won’t have to hit the shaker against the sink to get the top off, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces with clearly marked labels. Measure the perfect amount every time. And it is dishwasher safe!

Plus, once you get the hang of shaking, you’ll feel like a total pro, impressing your friends and yourself with your newfound bartending skills. So why not add a little shake, shake, shake to your life and upgrade your happy hour?

And remember the chilled martini glass. Nothing is worse than a martini in a warm glass. Check out these 2 that I recommend. Joy Jolt set of 6 martini glasses in multi-colors and Crafthouse by Fortessa, set of 4 martini glasses. They are both dishwasher-safe.

Joy Jolt is a short martini glass suitable for stacking on the shelf in the freezer. The Crafthouse by Fortessa is tall and elegant, but more challenging to find a safe spot in the freezer. I love them both!

How to make a Peppermint Rum Chata Martini

For an extra frosty experience, chill your martini glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes before preparing the cocktail.

Pour the Vanilla Vodka, Peppermint Bark Rum Chata, and half and half into a shaker half full of ice and let it sit for a minute.

Rim the glass, optional:

  • Crush some candy canes with a small food processor or put them in a Ziploc bag and use a hammer to crush them.
  • Spread the crushed candy canes on a small plate.
  • Pour a small amount of the Rum Chata onto another small plate and dip the rim of the martini glass in the Rum Chata.
  • Then, dip the rim of the martini glass into the crushed candy canes to decorate with festive flair.

Shake the shaker vigorously for 15 seconds then pour the strained ingredients into the rimmed martini glass.
