With all of the vodkas on the market, I use Stoli, Absolut, Ketel One, or Grey Goose to make a martini. For example, a Dirty Martini has hardly any mixer, so I’ll use Grey Goose, a more expensive but smoother Vodka. Otherwise, the Stoli, Absolut, or Ketel One are perfect for a Pomegranate Martini.
You can use bottled lemon juice or fresh squeezed. For example, I’d go with freshly squeezed lemon juice to make a Lemon Drop Martini. But here, the pomegranate juice will mask the flavor, so no one will know if you choose to use bottled lemon juice.
Remember that the drink color is essential when purchasing ingredients to make this cocktail. The drink color will change based on the brand of pomegranate juice you buy. I’ve found that POM Wonderful Antioxidant Superpower juice will give the deepest ruby red color.

Suppose you decide on freshly squeezed lemon juice. In that case, I can recommend this excellent citrus squeezer; it is my favorite.
You can’t mix a great martini without a great shaker. I have at least a dozen shakers, but one favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak; you won’t have to hit the shaker against the sink to get the top off, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces with clearly marked labels. Measure the perfect amount every time. And it is dishwasher safe!
And remember the chilled martini glass. Nothing is worse than a martini in a warm glass. Check out these 2 that I recommend. Joy Jolt set of 6 martini glasses in multi-colors and Crafthouse by Fortessa, set of 4 martini glasses. They are both dishwasher-safe. Joy Jolt is a short martini glass, great for stacking in the freezer, and the Crafthouse by Fortessa is tall and elegant. Still, finding a safe spot to lay it down in the freezer is harder.
But if ‘bling’ is your style, you can find the bling martini glasses (top photo) here. They make great holiday gifts for your entertaining friends. Of course, don’t forget to buy a pair for yourself.
How to make a Pomegranate Martini
Pour the Vodka, pomegranate juice, Cointreau, lemon juice, and triple-sec syrup into a shaker half full of ice, and let it sit for a minute. Shake for 15 seconds and pour the strained ingredients into a chilled martini glass.
Serve your beautiful Pomegranate Martini and enjoy the moment with your guests.
Optional Garnish: Finish your Pomegranate Martini by garnishing it with a few pomegranate seeds and a twist of lemon peel. This not only adds a pop of color but also enhances the drink’s aroma.
The Pomegranate Martini is a delightful and festive addition to your holiday party menu. Its rich red color, tangy-sweet flavor, and elegant presentation make it a crowd-pleaser that will undoubtedly become a favorite at your gatherings. So, why not raise a glass and toast to the holiday season with this delightful cocktail? Your guests will be impressed, and you can savor the festive spirit in every sip. Cheers to the holidays!
