For a more festive look, you can stir in 1/2 teaspoon of orange gel food coloring to give the Jello Shots that classic pumpkin hue—or keep them their natural creamy color for a subtle, elegant vibe that matches the RumChata.

Need a great Cocktail Shaker but don’t know which one to buy? Look no further

Here is an awesome product to help YOU make the most incredible drinks. Impress your family and friends and be the BEST Cocktail Barista in your neighborhood.

Easy to Read Measuring Cap - Included
Easy to Read Measuring Cap – Included

Martini or cocktail, a good shake makes all the difference in the world so buying a cocktail shaker can seriously step up your at-home drink game. Think about it: no more settling for boring mixed drinks when you can whip up bar-quality cocktails in your kitchen. It’s not just about the fancy presentation (although that’s a fun bonus) but also about how it makes mixing drinks easier and more fun.

I have at least a dozen shakers, but one favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak; you won’t have to hit the shaker against the sink to get the top off, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces with clearly marked labels. Measure the perfect amount every time. And it is dishwasher safe!

Plus, once you get the hang of shaking, you’ll feel like a total pro, impressing your friends and yourself with your newfound bartending skills. So why not add a little shake, shake, shake to your life and upgrade your happy hour?

Round Jello Shot Cups on Baking Sheet
Round Jello Shot Cups on Baking Sheet

To make your Jello Shots, you’ll need Jello Shot cups. Click here to learn the differences between the 3 different styles of Jello Shot cups. I use the squeezable Jello Shot cups (last picture in post), the flat round Jello Shot cups above, and the square Jello Shot cups.

Large Spouted Mixing Bowl with Handle
Large Spouted Mixing Bowl with Handle

The second most important item is a large, spouted mixing bowl with a handle. This bowl makes pouring the liquid into the Jello Shot cups easy. I have seen ‘tools’ on Amazon that assist you with filling your Jello Shot cups, but the bowl with the spout works well. Of course, you may have a few drips here and there, but I need more to invest in one of those tools.

How to Make Pumpkin RumChata Jello Shots

Place 18 Jello Shot cups on a baking sheet.

Pour the vodka into the spouted mixing bowl.

Sprinkle the gelatin on top of the vodka. Gelatin can be tricky to work with when using it the first time. The secret is to ‘slowly’ sprinkle the gelatin on top of the liquid. If you see it clumping up, you are spreading it too quickly.

Let the gelatin mixture sit for 7 minutes.

In the meantime, simmer the water.

Optional: Add your Orange Gel Food Coloring to the simmering water and stir until combined.

Pour the water and optional food coloring mixture into the gelatin mixture and stir for approximately 3 minutes.

Add the RumChata and simple syrup to the mixture and stir until combined well.

Slowly pour the mixture into the Jello Shot cups until they are 3/4 full.

Refrigerate the Jello Shots for 3 hours before placing the lids on the cups.

How Far in Advance Should you make Jello Shots?

Halloween party decorating is time-consuming, so you don’t want your food and drinks to be as well. These Pumpkin RumChata Jello Shots can be made 2 days in advance, leaving you time for other holiday preparations. Keep the Jello Shots refrigerated until you’re ready to serve to maintain their shape and texture.

Need a Double Batch?

These Jello Shots are cute, jiggly, and just a little bit spooky. They’ll look perfect on a Halloween dessert table and disappear fast. Do you need a double batch? If so, click the 2X on the recipe card, and the ingredients will be doubled instantly.

Easy Halloween Garnish Ideas

Add the garnish just before serving.

Whether you’re throwing a haunted house party, hosting a pumpkin carving night, or want to serve something festive and fun, these Pumpkin RumChata Jello Shots are the perfect addition to your Halloween menu. They’re rich, flavorful, and sure to cast a spell on every guest who tries them.
