Caramel Apple Vodka Martini – The best Autumn cocktail for this enchanting season
There’s no time like the fall to enjoy the taste of this Caramel Apple Vodka Martini. Autumn reminds me of days past and, as kids, how excited my brother and I would get at the thought that Halloween and Thanksgiving were near.

Growing up in the Northeast, I hated October; it meant that the cold and snow was just around the corner. I don’t think I ever warmed up between October and April: One of the reasons I moved South as an adult.
In the Carolinas, October is a perfect month. The Carolina blue skies are incredible and a perfect backdrop when the leaves change from green to a stunning display of vibrant colors.

Ingredients you’ll need to make the Caramel Apple Vodka Martini

I found the Infuse Cinnamon Apple vodka in the liquor store while browsing. The Vodka has sliced apples and a cinnamon stick; it reminded me of moonshine. This Vodka makes a great-tasting martini. If you can’t find an Infused Vodka in your area, you can use Absolut Apple Vodka. Made with fresh apple juice, this vodka is a great substitute.

You’ll also need caramel-flavored Vodka. I’ve found Veil & Pinacle Vodkas to be excellent, ‘flavored’ vodkas. Pick up some apple cider and, if you like, caramel syrup, which is optional.
Bar Tools

Next, you can’t make a great martini without a great shaker. I have at least a dozen shakers, but this one from OXO is my favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak, and the cap is a measuring cup measuring from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces. Dishwasher safe, you can’t go wrong with OXO.
And don’t forget the chilled martini glass. Nothing is worse than a martini in a warm glass. Check out these two martini glasses I highly recommend. Joy Jolt set of 6 martini glasses in multi-colors and Crafthouse by Fortessa, set of 4 martini glasses. They are both dishwasher-safe. Joy Jolt is a short martini glass, great for stacking in the freezer, and the Crafthouse by Fortessa is tall and elegant. Still, finding a good spot to lay it down in the freezer is harder.

If you like caramel syrup, drizzle your glass before pouring in the martini.
