Easy Strawberry Martini
Just look at this martini. How could you not want to try it?! This Strawberry Martini is one of the easiest cocktail recipes to make. And what better to drink in the spring during strawberry season. And don’t forget it is delectable!
Whenever it is strawberry season, I think about all of the things that I can do with strawberries. Of course, a martini is never far from my mind. Now, if you want, you can find recipes that require you to muddle strawberries and strain the liquid but the reason I love this recipe is because I’m all about quick and easy drinks and appetizers. So, this is how you make a delicious Strawberry Martini, the easy way!
Ingredients that you’ll need to make this martini
So, let’s keep this simple. You’ll need Whipped Cream Vodka. I’ve found that Veil Vodka is a good, ‘flavored’ vodka. I actually use it for my NCAA Jello Shot recipes that come in Chocolate, Gingerbread, Whipped Cream, Caramel, Coconut and many other flavors of Vodka.
Next the strawberry liqueur. I recently discovered Drillaud when I was browsing in the liquor store and I was amazed at all of the different flavored liqueurs in the liqueur isle. Drillaud makes so many fruit flavors that I can’t help myself and I buy a different flavor every time I stop in the store. They are a great brand for fruit flavored liqueurs. If you like apricot, you will not be disappointed in Drillaud’s Apricot liqueur!
Finally, let’s not forget a small amount of lemon juice. For my martinis I do like to use freshly squeezed lemon juice, but I don’t always have fresh lemons at the house. I do though have a bottle of ReaLemon juice in the refrigerator. If in a pinch, this works well.
You can’t make a great martini without a great shaker. I have at least a dozen shakers but this one from OXO is by far my favorite. It doesn’t leak, and the cap is a measuring cup that will measure from 1/2 ounce to 1.5 ounces. And it is dishwasher safe! You can’t go wrong with OXO.
And don’t forget the chilled martini glass. Nothing is worse than a martini in a warm glass. Check out these 2 that I highly recommend. Joy Jolt set of 6 martini glasses in multi-colors and Crafthouse by Fortessa, set of 4 martini glasses. They are both dishwasher safe. Joy Jolt is a short martini glass, good for stacking in the freezer and the Crafthouse by Fortessa is tall and elegant, but it’s harder to find a good spot to lay it down in the freezer.
