The 5-Minute Herbed Goat Cheese Appetizer: Perfect for Your Next Party
If you’re looking for a quick, delicious, and elegant appetizer, this 5-minute herbed goat cheese dip is the perfect choice. It’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser, packed with fresh herbs and tangy goat cheese. Whether you’re hosting a last-minute gathering or want a simple snack, this recipe is effortless and impressive.
This recipe is fast and easy, taking only 5 minutes to prepare. It’s incredibly flavorful, with fresh herbs enhancing the creamy goat cheese. Versatile and elegant, it pairs beautifully with crackers, veggies, or toasted baguette slices.
Goat cheese is one of my favorite cheeses. Its mild, earthy, tart flavor is likened to cream cheese. This herbed goat cheese appetizer uses rosemary, an aromatic herb, to complement the cheese’s taste.

Additionally, goat cheese is a healthier alternative to traditional dairy cheese. Goat cheese contains many more vitamins and minerals than cow cheese. It also has fewer calories, is higher in calcium, and is easier to digest and lower in lactose, making it an excellent option for those with sensitivities.

I’ve had my share of party disasters: the panic when guests arrive 30 minutes early, the desperation when Publix does not have my catering trays and burning chicken wings because I was mixing cocktails instead of watching the oven.
The good news is you can prepare this goat cheese appetizer in advance. If I’m having a party, the last thing I want is an appetizer that must be prepared as guests arrive. I like to have appetizers ready, and pitchers of the most popular drinks made in advance.
Ingredients you’ll need to make Herbed Goat Cheese

Need a great Cocktail Shaker but don’t know which one to buy? Look no further
Here is an awesome product to help YOU make the most incredible drinks. Impress your family and friends and be the BEST Cocktail Barista in your neighborhood.
Martini or cocktail, a good shake makes all the difference in the world so buying a cocktail shaker can seriously step up your at-home drink game. Think about it: no more settling for boring mixed drinks when you can whip up bar-quality cocktails in your kitchen. It’s not just about the fancy presentation (although that’s a fun bonus) but also about how it makes mixing drinks easier and more fun.
I have at least a dozen shakers, but one favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak; you won’t have to hit the shaker against the sink to get the top off, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces with clearly marked labels. Measure the perfect amount every time. And it is dishwasher safe!
Plus, once you get the hang of shaking, you’ll feel like a total pro, impressing your friends and yourself with your newfound bartending skills. So why not add a little shake, shake, shake to your life and upgrade your happy hour?
How to Make Herbed Goat Cheese

I use fresh rosemary in my recipe. You can also use dried rosemary if you can’t find any at the grocery store. If using fresh rosemary, pull the needles off the stem and discard the stem.

I love these mixing bowls and beaker sets. They are both dishwasher-safe. The mixing bowls have a rubber bottom and spout and come in a set of three. The beaker set is nested and comes in seven sizes. As you can see from the photo above, I’m using the small mixing bowl (1.5 quart).

Add the cheese, rosemary, garlic paste, oil, salt and pepper to a small bowl and mix well.

The Herbed Goat Cheese will be mashed potato-like. You can make this one day in advance, cover, and refrigerate. When ready to serve, place the mixture in a serving bowl.
Tip
Take the herbed goat cheese out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before you are ready to use it. It will soften up and will become easier to spread. I like to serve it with French Bread rounds, but it tastes great on crackers as well.
Having a party? Here are some other easy make-ahead appetizers

Over the years, lessons learned have taught me to serve what can be made or bought in advance, so even if people are excited to start the party early, it won’t throw me for a loop.
So, if you don’t want that ‘deer in headlights’ look as your guests arrive early, prepare this goat cheese appetizer in advance. Just pull it out of the refrigerator and serve it with a smile.

This 5-minute herbed goat cheese appetizer proves that delicious food doesn’t have to be complicated. Try it at your next gathering and watch it disappear within minutes!
