These Jello Shots are what a TRUE NCAA College Football fan needs to have on game day! Make them in your team colors and choose from 9 different fall flavors! You’ll ROCK!

Ingredients that you’ll need to make TRUE NCAA College Football Fan Mounds Bar Jello Shots

To make these Mounds Bar Jello Shots you first need Coconut and Chocolate vodkas. For flavored vodkas I like both Veil and Pinnacle. They are both reasonably priced. Last but not least, pick up a package of Gelatin, a can of sweetened condensed milk, and gel food coloring in your Team colors. If one of your Team colors is white, then no need for color.

As you can see from the photo above, the box of Wilton gel food colors has a good selection. There are 12 different colors, in .5 oz containers (on the right), which is enough for 2 batches of Jello Shots. If your NCAA College Football Team has a color that is not in the box, AmeriColor has a good selection. You can find Gold, Grey, Silver, Crimson and many more.

Bar Tools that you’ll need
The most important thing you’ll need are Jello Shot cups. There are two types of Jello-Shot cups that I like using, the short round 2 oz Jello-Shot cups and the taller squeezable Jello-Shot cups. Both works well, but they each have their best uses. See my Tips & Tricks page to find out why.

Second most important item is a large mouth mixing bowl with a spout. The large mouth mixing bowl with a spout makes it easy to pour the liquid into the Jello Shot cups. I have seen ‘tools’ on Amazon that assist you with filling your Jello Shot cups, but so far, the bowl with the spout works well. Of course, you may have a few drips here and there but not enough for me to invest in one of those tools.
How to make Jello Shots for a TRUE NCAA College Football Fan
Pour the Vodkas into the spouted mixing bowl and sprinkle the gelatin on the top. Gelatin can be a little tricky to work with the first time you use it in a recipe. The secret is to ‘slowly’ sprinkle the gelatin on top of the liquid. If you see that it is clumping up, then you are sprinkling it too quickly. This is the longest process in this entire recipe. If you do have some dry patches, don’t worry. These “not really” Jello-Shots will taste so good, and represent your Team so well, nobody will care that some gelatin didn’t dissolve.

Let the gelatin mixture sit for 5 minutes. In the meantime, make sure your water is boiling. Add the boiling water with the first Team color (gel food coloring) to the gelatin mixture and stir for 3 minutes. Add the sweetened condensed milk and stir. Pour the NCAA College Football Mounds Bar Jello Shot mix into the Jello Shot cups and fill them halfway full.

Put the half full Jello Shot cups into the refrigerator for 40 minutes. Then repeat the above for your second Team color. After 2 hours you can put the cover on your Jello Shot cups. These NCAA College Football Mounds Bar Jello Shots can be made 2 days in advance and kept refrigerated.
