First Team Color

  • Place 26 – 2-ounce Jello Shot cups on a baking sheet
  • Pour the Chocolate and Coconut Vodkas into a large, spouted mixing bowl
  • Slowly sprinkle the gelatin on top of the liquor making sure to sprinkle it evenly across the top of the liquid
  • Let the gelatin absorb the liquid for 7 minutes
  • In the meantime simmer the water
  • Pour 1 cup of the simmering water into a measuring cup
  • Add the first gel food coloring to the water and stir well
  • Add the water mixed with the food coloring to the gelatin mix and stir until the gelatin is dissolved, at least 3 minutes
  • Now add the sweetened condensed milk and simple syrup, and stir well
  • Pour the mixture into the Jello Shot cups until they are 1/2 full
  • Refrigerate the 1/2 full Jello Shot cups at least 1 hour before starting the top layer

Second Team Color

  • Pour the Chocolate and Coconut Vodkas into a large, spouted mixing bowl
  • Slowly sprinkle the gelatin on top of the liquor making sure to sprinkle it evenly across the top of the liquid
  • Let the gelatin absorb the liquid for 7 minutes
  • In the meantime simmer the water
  • Pour 1 cup of the simmering water into a measuring cup
  • Add the second food coloring (if making white you do not have to add food coloring) to the water and stir well
  • Add the water mixed with the food coloring to the gelatin mix and stir until the gelatin is dissolved, at least 3 minutes
  • Now add the sweetened condensed milk and simple syrup, and stir well
  • Let the mixture cool for 10 minutes then stir
  • Top off the refrigerated Jello Shots with the second color
  • Refrigerate at least 3 hours before placing the caps on the Jello Shot cups
  • Serve Chilled. Can be made 2 days in advance

Notes

If you want a darker color, add a tablespoon of hot water and 1/4 teaspoon of gel food coloring to a small bowl and stir until combined. Then, add the food coloring mixture to your gelatin mixture and mix well.
