A Festive Sparkler: Ginger Champagne for Christmas & New Year’s
The combination of ginger liqueur and champagne feels ideally suited for the holiday season. Ginger liqueur adds a soft warmth and light spice, while champagne brings crisp flavor and lively bubbles. Together, they create a drink that feels festive without being too heavy, making it an excellent choice for everything from small family gatherings to larger holiday parties.
One of the reasons this cocktail works so well during the holidays is its easy customization. Ginger pairs nicely with seasonal flavors like citrus, pear, apple, and cranberry, giving you plenty of options to keep things interesting. The champagne keeps the drink bright and refreshing, balancing the ginger’s spice and making each sip feel celebratory and smooth.
You’ll encounter sensory pleasures even before the first sip of the champagne cocktail. First, the sound of the pop of the cork. Then, the tiny bubbles tickle your nose, sending champagne and a hint of ginger aromas into the air.

Serving a ginger liqueur Champagne cocktail instantly sets a cheerful, welcoming mood. The sparkle of the bubbles feels special, while the warming ginger notes are especially comforting on cold winter nights. Whether you’re hosting a dinner party or simply raising a glass with friends, this cocktail captures the joy of the holidays—simple, festive, and meant to be enjoyed together.

Tips
Don’t know which champagne to buy? I am not a champagne connoisseur. I’ve tried expensive champagnes like Dom Pérignon, Jouet, and Veuve Clicquot. But I tend to keep it under $15 a bottle for a champagne cocktail. Sweet champagnes are my preference, but until recently, I didn’t know that Brut meant unsweet and Extra Dry sweet. As you can see from the photo, I settled on Korbel Extra Dry.
To achieve the ideal level of sweetness, incorporate a touch of simple syrup. The amount of simple syrup can be adjusted based on taste. The more simple syrup you add, the sweeter the cocktail.
Prosecco is an excellent swap for Champagne in cocktails, thanks to its fresh, fruity taste and gentler, less intense bubbles.

Bar Tools
Here is an awesome product to help YOU make the most incredible drinks. Impress your family and friends and be the BEST Cocktail Barista in your neighborhood.
Need a great Cocktail Shaker but don’t know which one to buy? Look no further
Martini or cocktail, a good shake makes all the difference in the world so buying a cocktail shaker can seriously step up your at-home drink game. Think about it: no more settling for boring mixed drinks when you can whip up bar-quality cocktails in your kitchen. It’s not just about the fancy presentation (although that’s a fun bonus) but also about how it makes mixing drinks easier and more fun.
I have at least a dozen shakers, but one favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak; you won’t have to hit the shaker against the sink to get the top off, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces with clearly marked labels. Measure the perfect amount every time. And it is dishwasher safe!
Plus, once you get the hang of shaking, you’ll feel like a total pro, impressing your friends and yourself with your newfound bartending skills. So why not add a little shake, shake, shake to your life and upgrade your happy hour?
The Right Glass Matters
A champagne flute is an excellent choice because its tall, narrow shape helps keep the bubbles fresh longer and slows them from escaping too quickly. It also lets the aromas rise nicely while showcasing those pretty bubbles, making every sip feel a little more special.

How to make a Ginger Champagne Cocktail
Start by thoroughly chilling your champagne, a well-chilled base will enhance the overall experience of your cocktail. While it chills, place your champagne glasses in the freezer for a few minutes. A chilled glass helps preserve the bubbles and elevates the overall drinking experience.
Pour the ginger liqueur and simple syrup into your chilled champagne flute.
Top it off with no more than 5 ounces of champagne and stir gently.
Garnish with a sprig of rosemary, optional.
Pour a glass of this exquisite Ginger Champagne cocktail and savor the moment. The bubbles of the champagne, combined with the ginger liqueur’s warmth, create a masterpiece that dances on your taste buds.
Note
It would be best if you had champagne flutes that are 8 ounces or less. The larger the champagne flute, the less the recipe will fill your glass. More champagne also changes the cocktail’s taste.

Final Sip
Indulge in the magic of champagne and the warmth of ginger liqueur as they come together to create a cocktail that’s nothing short of extraordinary. This delightful concoction offers a blend of refreshing and invigorating flavors.
Cheers to the perfect union of bubbles and spice!
