Champagne Sunset – Sexy, smooth, sophisticated. A remarkable new way to fix your Champagne!
What’s sexier than a Mimosa? The Champagne Sunset. Lighter and more flavorful, you will love the Champagne Sunset.
You’ll encounter sensory pleasures even before the first sip of the champagne cocktail. First, the sound of the pop of the cork. Then the tiny bubbles tickle your nose as they send Champagne, tangerine, and brandy aromas into the air.

Perfect for any occasion, the easy Champagne Sunset will delight you. Enjoy the cocktail with your friends on Galentine’s Day or as a romantic after-dinner drink with that special someone.

Ingredients you’ll need to make the Champagne Sunset

The Champagne Sunset cocktail is made with Brandy, lemon juice, tangerine juice, and champagne. Tangerine juice may be difficult to find, so I use Izze Sparkling Clementine.
Need to know what champagne to buy? I am not a champagne connoisseur. I’ve tried expensive champagnes like Dom Pérignon, Jouet, and Veuve Clicquot. But if I’m mixing champagne, I tend to stay under $15. Sweet champagnes are my preference, but until recently, I didn’t know that Brut meant unsweet and Extra Dry sweet. As you can see from the photo, I settled on Korbel Extra Dry.
Bar Tools

You can only have a champagne cocktail with champagne flutes. Well, you can, but it’s just different. If you don’t have any champagne flutes, try these from Lenox, they are simple yet elegant.

Mixing a great cocktail requires a great shaker. I have at least a dozen shakers, but this one from OXO is my favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces. And it is dishwasher safe! You can’t go wrong with OXO.
How to make the Champagne Sunset
I use fresh lemon juice, but you can use lemon juice from a bottle in a pinch. If you need an excellent citrus squeezer, try OXO.
Pour the tangerine, brandy, and lemon juice into a shaker filled with ice. Shake for 5 seconds, then pour the strained ingredients into a champagne flute. Top it off with Champagne.
