Exhilaration awaits you in this refreshing tropical bubbly blast called the Pineapple Upside Down Champagne cocktail. Easy and delicious.
You’ll encounter sensory pleasures even before the first sip of the champagne cocktail. First, the sound of the pop of the cork. Then the tiny bubbles tickle your nose, sending champagne and pineapple aromas into the air.
You don’t need to prepare a punch bowl of Pineapple Upside Down Champagne to enjoy the light fruity flavor.

Ingredients you’ll need to make the Pineapple Upside Down Champagne cocktail
Love champagne punch? Try this twist, champagne punch in a glass. Made with pineapple and cranberry juices mixed with champagne.
Need to know what champagne to buy? I am not a champagne connoisseur. I’ve tried expensive champagnes like Dom Pérignon, Jouet, and Veuve Clicquot. But if I’m mixing champagne, I tend to stay under $15. Sweet champagnes are my preference, but until recently, I didn’t know that Brut meant unsweet and Extra Dry sweet. As you can see from the photo, I settled on Korbel Extra Dry.
You can only have a champagne cocktail with champagne flutes. Well, you can, but it’s just different. If you don’t have any champagne flutes, try these from Lenox, they are simple yet elegant.
Need an excellent cocktail shaker? I have at least a dozen shakers, but this one from OXO is my favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces. And it is dishwasher safe! You can’t go wrong with OXO.
How to make a Pineapple Upside Down Champagne Cocktail
Pour the pineapple and cranberry juices into a shaker filled with ice. Shake for 5 seconds, then pour the strained ingredients into a champagne flute. Top it off with champagne and add a cherry for garnish.
