Indulge in Decadence: The Pecan Pie Martini, You’ll Wish You Tried Sooner
Suppose you’re looking for a dessert cocktail that’s as impressive as delicious. In that case, the Pecan Pie Martini is your answer. This delightful concoction from the Dancing Bear Lodge, Townsend, TN, combines pecan pie’s rich, nutty flavors with a well-crafted martini’s smooth, satisfying kick. Perfect for holiday gatherings or any special occasion, this drink will undoubtedly be a showstopper at your next event.
Pecan pie is a beloved dessert, especially in the Southern United States. Its sweet, buttery, and nutty taste makes it a favorite on holiday tables. The idea of transforming this classic pie into a martini brings together the best of both worlds: the comforting taste of pecan pie and the elegance of a martini. This cocktail is a great way to surprise and delight your guests, offering a familiar flavor in an unexpected form.

Creating the perfect Pecan Pie Martini involves a few key ingredients that replicate the essence of a traditional pecan pie. Graham cracker crumbs and chopped pecans for rimming the glass add a crunchy contrast to the creamy drink. Pecan halves are used for garnish, adding an authentic touch.

This luxurious martini pairs wonderfully with light desserts and appetizers. Consider serving it alongside:
Cheese Platter: Various cheeses, especially those with nutty undertones, can complement the pecan flavors.

Tips
If you prefer a sweet cocktail, add 1/2 ounce of Caramel Coffee Syrup.
I first used the chopped pecans from the bag of pecans, but even though they were chopped, they were too big and fell off the rim of the glass.

The next time I made the Pecan Pie Martini, I chopped the pecans finer in my mini-Cuisinart food processor. They blended well with the graham cracker crumbs this time and rimmed the glass nicely.

Bar Tools
Here are awesome products to help YOU make the most incredible drinks. Impress your family and friends and be the BEST Cocktail Barista in your neighborhood.
Need a great Cocktail Shaker but don’t know which one to buy? Look no further
Martini or cocktail, a good shake makes all the difference in the world so buying a cocktail shaker can seriously step up your at-home drink game. Think about it: no more settling for boring mixed drinks when you can whip up bar-quality cocktails in your kitchen. It’s not just about the fancy presentation (although that’s a fun bonus) but also about how it makes mixing drinks easier and more fun.
I have at least a dozen shakers, but one favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak; you won’t have to hit the shaker against the sink to get the top off, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces with clearly marked labels. Measure the perfect amount every time. And it is dishwasher safe!
Plus, once you get the hang of shaking, you’ll feel like a total pro, impressing your friends and yourself with your newfound bartending skills. So why not add a little shake, shake, shake to your life and upgrade your happy hour?

And remember the chilled martini glass. Nothing is worse than a martini in a warm glass. Check out these 2 that I recommend. Joy Jolt set of 6 martini glasses in multi-colors and Crafthouse by Fortessa (Pecan Pie Martini glass above), set of 4 martini glasses. They are both dishwasher-safe.

Joy Jolt is a short martini glass, great for stacking in the freezer, and the Crafthouse by Fortessa is tall and elegant. Still, finding a safe spot to lay it down in the freezer is harder.
Note: The green martini glasses are not Crafthouse glasses. They are for illustration purposes only
How to make a Pecan Pie Martini

Chill the Glass: For an extra frosty experience, chill your martini glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes before preparing the cocktail.

Prepare the Glass: Place 2 tablespoons of Agave Nectar, 1 tablespoon of chopped pecans, and 1 tablespoon of graham cracker crumbs on separate small plates.
Dip the glass in the agave nectar first, then into the pecans and graham cracker crumbs.
You can combine the chopped pecans and graham cracker crumbs to save on dirty dishes; just combine well before rimming the glass.
Mix the Ingredients: In a cocktail shaker half full of ice, combine the Bourbon, Rum Chata, Crème de Cacao, and half and half.
Shake for 15 seconds and pour the strained ingredients into the prepared martini glass.
The Perfect Garnish
Finish with a pecan half on the rim or float it on top of a dollop of whipped cream for a decorative touch.

The Pecan Pie Martini is more than just a drink; it’s an experience. Combining the beloved flavors of a classic pecan pie with the sophistication of a martini, this cocktail will surely be a hit.
Whether you’re hosting a holiday party or simply looking to indulge in a special treat, the Pecan Pie Martini offers a unique and memorable way to enjoy the season’s spirit. Cheers!
