Indulge in Irresistible Flavors: The Decadent Monkey Slide Martini
Regarding innovative cocktails that blend indulgence and creativity, few drinks can rival the Monkey Slide Martini. Served at Juliet, The Venetian Las Vegas, this is a luxurious twist on classic martini traditions. This drink combines the bold flavors of Howler Head Banana-Infused Bourbon, the rich depth of Mr Black Cold Brew Coffee Liqueur, and a tantalizing banana cold foam topping dusted with cocoa powder.
Whether hosting a sophisticated gathering or simply looking for a treat-yourself moment, this cocktail will surely impress.
The Monkey Slide Martini is all about playful decadence. Inspired by the silky sweetness of bananas and the richness of coffee, it’s a cocktail that captures the spirit of indulgence while staying balanced and refined. Its name hints at the smooth “slide” of flavors across your palate, with a nod to the bourbon’s mascot: the playful monkey from Howler Head.

The Monkey Slide Martini is a masterclass in balance. The banana-forward bourbon provides a smooth, sweet base, while the coffee liqueur brings richness and a hint of bitterness. The banana cold foam is the star, adding creaminess and an airy sweetness. Together, these elements create a cocktail that feels indulgent yet surprisingly light.

Need a great Cocktail Shaker but don’t know which one to buy? Look no further
Martini or cocktail, a good shake makes all the difference in the world so buying a cocktail shaker can seriously step up your at-home drink game. Think about it: no more settling for boring mixed drinks when you can whip up bar-quality cocktails in your kitchen. It’s not just about the fancy presentation (although that’s a fun bonus) but also about how it makes mixing drinks easier and more fun.
I have at least a dozen shakers, but one favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak; you won’t have to hit the shaker against the sink to get the top off, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces with clearly marked labels. Measure the perfect amount every time. And it is dishwasher safe!
Plus, once you get the hang of shaking, you’ll feel like a total pro, impressing your friends and yourself with your newfound bartending skills. So why not add a little shake, shake, shake to your life and upgrade your happy hour?
And remember the chilled martini glass. Nothing is worse than a martini in a warm glass. Check out these 2 that I recommend. Joy Jolt set of 6 martini glasses in multi-colors and Crafthouse by Fortessa, set of 4 martini glasses. They are both dishwasher-safe.

Joy Jolt is a short martini glass suitable for stacking on the shelf in the freezer. The Crafthouse by Fortessa is tall and elegant, but more challenging to find a safe spot in the freezer. I love them both!

How to Make a Monkey Slide Martini
This recipe is my interpretation of the Monkey Slide martini after sampling one at Juliet.
For an extra frosty experience, chill your martini glass in the freezer for about 10 minutes before preparing the cocktail.

The Martini
In a cocktail shaker half filled with ice, combine the Howler Head, Mr Black, and banana syrup. Set aside.
Banana Cold Foam
Start by choosing your milk; whole milk froths easily and has a rich, full flavor that delivers a more authentic coffeehouse result.
Pour the milk and banana syrup into a cold frothing pitcher or a glass. This will top two cocktails. I use an inexpensive frother to make cold foam.
Submerge the frothing wand just below the surface of the milk and press and hold the power button, moving the frother up and down until the milk begins to foam, doubles in volume, and achieves a light, frothy texture.
Substitutions
If using a dairy substitute like nut, oat, or soy milk, they are easy to froth. However, the foam disappears faster than dairy products, so froth your milk immediately before drinking for the most satisfying experience.
When making this recipe, I did not have whole or 2% milk at home, so I substituted half and half. As you can see from the photograph, the cold foam is heavier than it should be and sinks into the cocktail base. As for the taste, it is just as delicious.

Create the Monkey Slide Martini
Now shake the shaker vigorously for 15-20 seconds to chill and blend the ingredients.
Pour the strained ingredients into your chilled martini glass.
Gently spoon the Banana cold foam over your martini. The cold foam will float on top, providing your drink a smooth, velvety texture.
Garnish your martini with a light dusting of cocoa powder and cinnamon. You can also use stencils to create designs on the cold foam with the cocoa powder.
Perfect Pairings
This cocktail shines on its own but pairs beautifully with desserts like banana cream pie, tiramisu, or chocolate-covered espresso beans. It also works as a standout after-dinner drink, perfect for winding down with friends or savoring solo.

The Monkey Slide Martini isn’t just a drink; it’s an experience. From the creamy foam topping to the rich, boozy base, every sip is a journey through bold flavors and luxurious textures.
So why not give it a try? Cheers to the bold flavors of the Monkey Slide!
