Discover the Apricot Blush Cocktail – This will be your new FAVORITE Slushie
As the warm breeze of summer gently blows, there’s nothing quite like enjoying a refreshing cocktail that soothes the soul. Picture this: the tangy sweetness of apricots mingling with the smooth warmth of rum, all blended with ice to create a harmony of flavors. Say hello to your new favorite summer drink: the Apricot Blush Cocktail!
With their luscious flavor and vibrant hue, Apricots bring sunshine to any drink they garnish. When transformed into nectar, they become the star ingredient of our cocktail, infusing it with their natural sweetness and a hint of tartness. Apricot nectar, readily available in stores, serves as the base of this drink, lending it a distinct and delightful flavor.

And let’s not forget the rum—the essential spirit of summer. Its rich caramel notes and underlying hints of vanilla complement the fruity goodness of apricots. The combination of rum and apricot creates a flavor that’s simply irresistible.
What sets this cocktail apart is its delightful texture, achieved through blending. The result? A frosty concoction that’s as visually stunning as it is deliciously refreshing. The gentle whir of the blender becomes anticipation, noting the arrival of a drink that promises to be cool and captivating.

Ingredients you’ll need to make an Apricot Blush

- Rum
- Apricot Nectar
- Sweetened Condensed Milk (Hispanic version)
- Ice
- Fresh apricots or mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Tips
Opt for a quality light rum to keep the flavors light and bright, allowing the apricot to shine through without overpowering it. Bacardi is a good choice.
This recipe calls for the Hispanic version of sweetened condensed milk due to the lower sugar content.
Use at most 3 cups of ice. Your blender should hold 64 ounces. This recipe will fill a 64-ounce blender while blending.

Martini or cocktail, a good shake makes all the difference in the world. I have at least a dozen shakers, but one favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak; you won’t have to hit the shaker against the sink to get the top off, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces with clearly marked labels. Measure the perfect amount every time. And it is dishwasher safe!

And remember the glasses. This drink is meant to be enjoyed outside in the beautiful summer weather. You don’t want to take glass on the boat or by the pool, so 20-ounce acrylic glasses are perfect for any outdoor occasion. A ‘double’, 2 portions of the Apricot Blush will fit in the 20-ounce glass. If you want a single serving, the 15-ounce acrylic glasses are a better choice. Remember, add lots of ice!
