License to Chill
This twist on a Margarita called the License to Chill was found at Finn’s Bar in Nashville, TN. The cool blue curacao flavor shines through and will chill you out and cool you down!
What better to drink during your 4th of July party than red, white and blue cocktails. This License to Chill will not disappoint!
Ingredients that you’ll need to make a License to Chill
You’ll need Tequila. For an all-around good Tequila, you can try Patron, El Padrino or for a reasonably priced Tequila I use Sauza Silver. Next the Blue Curacao, lime juice, sweet & sour mix and agave.
Bar Tools that you’ll need to make a License to Chill cocktail
Martini or cocktail, I find that a good shake makes all the difference in the world. I have at least a dozen shakers but this one from OXO is by far my favorite. It doesn’t leak, and the cap is a measuring cup that will measure from 1/2 ounce to 1.5 ounces. And it is dishwasher safe! You can’t go wrong with OXO.
And don’t forget the glasses. This drink is meant to be enjoyed outside in the beautiful summer weather. You don’t want to take glass on the boat or by the pool so these 20 ounce acrylic glasses (shown above) are perfect for any out door occasion. Keep in mind that you can put a ‘double’, 2 portions of the Mango Margarita in the 20 ounce glass. If you are looking for a single serving, the 15 ounce acrylic glasses (shown below) are a better choice. Remember, add lots of ice!
