Irish Mist & Strawberries has such a subtle, joyful flavor. The dessert cocktail tastes like love when you add the strawberries to the Irish Mist. What better to serve as a seductive Valentine’s Day dessert.
Irish Mist is a liqueur made with Irish whiskey and imbued with honey. Liqueurs are usually sipped as an aperitif before a meal or digestif after a meal. I suggest Irish Mist & Strawberries after dinner for a romantic dessert.

Ingredients you’ll need to make Irish Mist & Strawberries
According to Wikipedia, Irish Mist Liqueur is a brown whiskey liqueur produced in Ireland. Made from aged Irish whiskey, clover honey, heather, aromatic herbs, and other spirits, Irish Mist is blended into an ancient recipe claimed to be 1000 years old. Sounds wonderful!
Irish Mist and strawberries are the ingredients for this after-dinner dessert cocktail.
If you need a great cocktail shaker, check out OXO!
You can only mix a great martini with a great shaker. I have at least a dozen shakers, but this one from OXO is my favorite. The shaker doesn’t leak, and the cap will measure from 1/2 to 1.5 ounces. And it is dishwasher safe! You can’t go wrong with OXO.
How to make Irish Mist & Strawberries
Wash, remove the leaves, and slice in half, the long way, 6 strawberries. Put 3 strawberries each into either 2 brandy snifters or rocks glasses (I used rocks glasses in the photo). Top them off with Irish Mist. Serve with a spoon.
Romantic Champagne cocktails for Valentine’s Day
I’ve selected 6 of the most romantic cocktails for Valentine’s Day. You can try the other 5 by clicking on the links from left to right: Champagne Sunset, #Hpnotiq Bliss, Frangelico Champagne, Champagne Royale, Pineapple Upside Down Champagne, and Irish Mist & Strawberries (this recipe).
You can only have a champagne cocktail with champagne flutes. Well, you can, but it’s just different. If you don’t have any champagne flutes, try these from Lenox, they are simple yet elegant.
