The Pina Colada was invented in San Juan, Puerto Rico but it's popularity took off and spread worldwide. Here is an easy recipe for a Rum Pina Colada.

Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Ounces White Rum
  • 1.5 Ounce Cream of Coconut Goya in the international section of your grocery store is really good
  • 3 Ounces Pineapple Juice
  • 1.5 Cups Crushed Ice
  • Pineapple slice for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Add ice, rum, cream of coconut and pineapple juice to a blender
  • Blend for 30 seconds
  • Pour into a large glass and garnish with a pineapple slice

Notes

If you don't have a blender but your refrigerator makes crushed ice, you can put all of the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Pour the shaker ingredients over a glass filled with crushed ice.
