Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 Ounces Tequila Reposado
  • 1 Ounce Cointreau
  • .75 Ounce Orange Amaro (Bitter Orange Liqueur)
  • .5 Ounce Lime Juice
  • .5 Ounce Lemon Juice
  • .5 Ounce Simple Syrup
  • .25 Slice Lime

To Rim the Glass

  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Salt
  • 2 Tbsps. Agave Nectar

Instructions
 

To Rim the Glass

  • On separate small plates, place 2 tablespoons of Agave Nectar, 1 tablespoon of margarita salt, and 1 tablespoon of sugar.
  • Dip the glass in the agave nectar first, then into the sugar and salt.

Make the Bitter Orange Margarita

  • Fill a cocktail shaker half full of ice.
  • Add the tequila, Cointreau, Amaro, lime juice, lemon juice, simple syrup and a squeeze of fresh lime to the shaker.
  • Shake for 10 seconds.
  • Pour the contents of the shaker into the rimmed glass.
  • Garnish with a slice of dehydrated or candied orange.
