Herbed Goat Cheese Appetizer

This quick and delicious goat cheese appetizer recipe will go great with most cocktails! Serve it when your best friend comes over for a martini or for your next party.

  • 1 Tsp Garlic Paste
  • 1/8 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tsp Minced Fresh Rosemary leaves Or you can use the dried rosemary
  • 1/2 Cup Mild Goat Cheese Room temperature
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Freshly Ground Pepper to Taste
  • French Bread Rounds I buy these in the bakery section of my local grocery store


  • Take the goat cheese out of the refrigerator about 30 minutes before you are ready to prepare the recipe.
  • Remove the rosemary needles from the stem and chop.
  • In a small bowl stir together the garlic, salt, rosemary, goat cheese, olive oil and pepper.
  • Serve with French Bread Rounds or your favorite crackers.


The recipe serves 2 people, perfect for serving when your best friend comes to visit. But it can be made for a small party, serving 8 people if it is the only appetizer or 16 people if there is other food or appetizers. 
  • 16 oz Goat Cheese
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tsp Minces Rosemary leaves
  • 6 Tbsp Olive Oil
This appetizer can be made a day in advance and kept in the refrigerator. 
Take it out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before use. It can be served with French Bread rounds or your favorite crackers.
